Sheila Grant is an attorney in the firm’s Banking & Finance and Commercial Real Estate practice groups, where she provides transactional support on a broad range of secured lending and real estate matters. She works closely with senior attorneys to support institutional lenders and borrowers in the execution of commercial loan transactions, including real estate-secured loans, asset-based credit facilities, and construction financings.
Her work includes drafting and reviewing loan documentation, assisting with due diligence and closing coordination, and preparing supporting materials such as corporate resolutions, title and survey analysis, and closing checklists. Sheila also supports matters involving SBA-backed loans and multi-party financing structures, providing careful attention to detail and responsiveness throughout the deal process.
She assists with zoning and land use issues that frequently intersect with commercial lending and development work, including variances, special permits, and licenses to sell. Sheila has experience supporting transactions in highly regulated industries, such as cannabis, and is familiar with regulatory processes before the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission (CCC).
In addition to her finance-related work, she contributes to matters involving business formation, compliance, and estate planning, supporting internal teams serving closely held businesses and individual clients.
Prior to joining the firm, Sheila practiced real estate law with a regional firm and operated her own general practice in Medford, where she resides. She holds dual citizenship with the Republic of Ireland.
