Mark Bressler concentrates his practice in commercial and residential real estate and financial services. Mr. Bressler represents businesses, real estate developers, investors and lenders in connection with their financing and development needs. He handles legal due diligence for real estate transactions including corporate structuring issues, lease review, title, survey and zoning analysis. Mr. Bressler served as commercial leasing counsel for several large public and privately held companies and shopping center developers based in Massachusetts, and he advises restaurants, professionals and businesses on leasing matters.
Mr. Bressler has notable credentials in the fields of real estate and banking. Mr. Bressler became a member of Sassoon Cymrot Law, LLC, following an association with the Boston office of a national law firm. Mr. Bressler represented Wall Street conduit lenders on a nationwide basis in connection with commercial mortgage-backed securitized (CMBS) loans secured by office, retail, industrial, warehouse, hotel and multi-family properties.
Mr. Bressler began his legal career with the Boston Redevelopment Authority where he collaborated on the re-draft of the Boston Zoning Code and handled ground lease transactions, the sale of city owned properties, and the financing and development of affordable housing. Mr. Bressler later served as senior counsel with the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) where he specialized in complex loan workouts and commercial transactions involving the sale of real estate and other failed bank assets related to liquidation of bank receiverships. At the FDIC, Mr. Bressler handled the sale or workout of distressed and non-performing assets.
