Hindell Straus Grossman was admitted to the Massachusetts Bar in 1985. Hindell has successfully negotiated, litigated and arbitrated hundreds of cases on behalf of her clients. Several of her successes have been published in Massachusetts Lawyer’s Weekly and she has been featured in the Needham Tab, Boston Business Journal and the Boston Globe. Hindell began her legal career at a small Boston firm and then started her own Boston firm four years later. She formed Grossman & Associates in 1999 and joined Sassoon Cymrot Law in May of 2021, with offices in Newton and Boston.

Hindell has been active in both the business and Jewish communities. She participated in the first international collaboration between the Boston Chamber of Commerce and the Montreal Board of Trade. She was a regular speaker for the Canadian Consulate to Canadian business owners interested in doing business in Massachusetts; a lecturer for National Business Institute, Inc.; a panelist for the Small Business Administration; a speaker on business banking; a panelist for the Boston Bar Association; and a presenter on various divorce topics.

For more than two decades Hindell has been a board member of Covenant House in Brighton, Massachusetts which provides affordable senior housing and honors New England’s most distinguished men and women. Hindell is also a fundraiser, a donor to various causes, and a Hospitality Host for families needing medical treatment. She is an actual member in ProVisors.

Hindell was raised in Rumson, New Jersey by parents in the retail clothing business. She attended Muhlenberg College and the University of Pennsylvania, and obtained her Juris Doctor from John Marshall Law School in Chicago in 1985. She also trained in the Collaborative Law Process.

Hindell lived in Newton for 14 years and presently lives in Brookline. Her daughter, Ariel, graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2010, and from Boston University with an MBA in 2015. She currently resides in Baltimore, MD. Her son, Micah, graduated from Loyola University in New Orleans in 2015 and is a music producer and touring musician, residing in Los Angeles, CA. Winston is her labradoodle and a frequent visitor at Grossman & Associates.

The firm uses an assortment of other talented individuals to fulfill its objectives. It calls upon associate attorneys, paralegals, real estate appraisers and accountants as needed to best serve our clients.
